Wild Glow Candle Care
To get the most enjoyment from your candle we recommend the following guidelines:
Always place candles on a heat resistant surface, never leave a lit candle unattended, keep away from pets and children.
Trim the wick to 6mm before lighting each time to ensure your candle burns cleanly.
If the wick is left to long the pure cotton wick will mushroom and cause smoking.
Remember to trim the wick at least every 3 hours to prevent mushrooming or smoke.
If you get any black at the rim of your glass simply wipe it away with a damp cloth, this may be a sign that your wick is too long.
Before lighting your candle, always make sure you have sufficient time to leave the candle lit before having to extinguish it to allow the melt pool to reach the edges.
Burn candle for a minimum of 3/4 hours at a time to create a wax pool to the edge of the candle jar as this will ensure the candle burns evenly to bottom of jar.
If candle is blown out before it reaches side of candle jar it can cause tunnelling. If this happens, this can result in the candle forming a pattern of tunnelling, leaving unmelted wax around the edges which can affect the fragrance throw and drown the wick.
For safety reasons we recommend extinguishing the candle when it has at least 2mm of wax left in the jar. If left to burn with no wax the metal wick tab can overheat and cause the glass to crack.
Never put any wax down your drains as this can cause blockages, remaining wax can be wiped out and discarded in bin.
Candle jars can be washed out in warm soapy water.
